Summer House is designed to feel like a coastal beach house, and in our opinion, they succeed!
Here are the current operating hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Friday: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 11:30 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Summer House on the Lake
Inside, it’s meant to feel like the outside is actually inside — and they took a lot of consideration into account when building, such as Florida weather.

Dining area
It’s bright and airy and there are several different dining areas. The Sun Room is the main dining area.

You can also sit on the patio out front…

…and the Palm Room (unofficially) is the bar area to the right when you walk into the restaurant.

Palm Room
The front porch was closed for a private event, but we’ll be back soon to get pics!

We couldn’t help but check out the bathrooms too, which were quite nice!

Bathrooms
The bathroom sink featured two faucets and one large basin, as well as a large mirror.

Bathroom sink
The towels were also a nice touch, with the Summer House logo printed on them.

And the bathroom smelled really good, probably thanks to this Summer House “salt” candle! The jar said it’s scented with sea salt, amber, palm, and orange peel.

The Cookie Bar
They also have an in-house bakery where you can get fresh-baked cookies, brownies, and more — known as The Cookie Bar!
The Cookie Bar can be found to the left of the main entrance, inside the restaurant.

Cookie Bar
The Cookie Bar serves fresh-baked cookies, pastries, wine, beer, cocktails, merchandise, and more. You can take your food and drinks with you as you walk around Disney Springs!

It’s time to order our food!
Menu & Food
The menu for Summer House includes salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and more. You can see the menu below. Almost anything on the menu can also be made gluten-free.
They also serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and if you like rosé, the Rosé Cart features all kinds of options.

Summer House on the Lake Menu
We started with the Signature Guacamole for $16.95 and Jalapeño Corn Bread for $12.95.

Starter spread
The Signature Guacamole is made with hass avocados and cilantro with sides of pico de gallo, charred-tomato salsa, and habanero verde. It’s served with house-made tortilla chips.

Signature Guacamole
We found the guacamole to be really fresh, with a little hint of lime.
The chips were nice and salty and paired beautifully with the guacamole. This is a perfectly shareable dish!

Signature Guacamole
The Pico de Gallo included large veggies with a strong red onion flavor and a nice bite. It was not saucy and a great addition to the guacamole, giving it a welcome crunch.
The Habanero Verde (middle) was mild and creamy, and it was super delicious! It was a nice balance to the kick from the pico.
And the Charred-Tomato Salsa was a medium sauce with tasty spices. There’s really something for everyone here!

Pico de Gallo, Habanero Verde, and Charred-Tomato Salsa
We also ordered the Jalapeño Corn Bread, which comes with honey butter.

Jalapeño Corn Bread
The cornbread — WOW. It was amazingly soft and pillowy with just the right amount of moisture.
It was fresh and there were pieces of corn inside. Note that we didn’t get the jalapeño spice immediately — it was more of an after-effect and very subtle, so if you’re not a fan of spicy — you don’t need to skip this!

Jalapeño Corn Bread
The sweetness of the butter toned down the spice too, and we lived the hit of saltiness from the coarse salt on top. This was a big winner!

Jalapeño Corn Bread
For our main dish, our server recommended the Crispy Chicken Sandwich for $16.95, which is made with avocado, buttermilk dressing, lettuce, and fries. Our server recommended we upgrade to the Truffle Fries for an additional $1.99, which we did!

Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Truffle Fries
The chicken sandwich was simple but delicious. The chicken breast itself was very tender and juicy, and the breading was nice and crunchy. It was also quite airy and slightly peppery!

Crispy Chicken Sandwich
The avocado had a burst of freshness and the bun was buttered and delicious.
We did wish there was a little more dressing but it was still a really good dish! You get a side of ketchup served with it and we opted to try it on the sandwich, which was tasty — but also just as good without ketchup.

Crispy Chicken Sandwich
The truffle fries were served with shoestring fries that were nice and salty with a great crunch. They’re served with parmigiano reggiano and aioli, and we LOVED the aioli. This is a good size for sharing too!

Truffle Fries
They also offer a boxing service and can box up your meal for you as you eat.

Boxing service
When it comes to dessert, you can order anything from The Cookie Bar to your table, or you can opt to finish your meal and head to the bar to order there. You can also get your cookie warmed up!
Note that you can only get the cookie, coffee, frose, and beer at the cookie bar.

The Cookie Bar
For dessert, we ordered four different cookies for $4.95 each and the Pure Black Cold Brew for $5.

The Cookie Bar spread
We got the cold brew with vanilla and cream and it as delicious! Honestly, it’s great to have another coffee option in Disney Springs.

Cold Brew
The Lemon cookie was a recommendation by the Cast Member, and it was surprisingly delicious even though our MickeyBlogger wasn’t a huge lemon person.
It was slightly sweet and tart, with a lemon bar consistency with glaze on top and white chocolate chips inside. It would be easy to share!

Lemon Cookie
The Crispy Rice Chocolate Chip was another recommendation. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious and soft with just the right amount of chocolate chips, and we loved the unexpected crunch and the flavor or brown butter.

Crispy Rice Chocolate Chip Cookie
The Double Chocolate Cloud was the perfect cookie for chocolate lovers. It was soft and perfect, with a light dusting of powdered sugar on top and the perfect level of richness.

Double Chocolate Cloud
And finally, we had to try the standard Chocolate Chip! This cookie was also a hit, with the edges being slightly crispy and the inside soft and delicious.

Overall Thoughts
The overall level of service and food was great and absolutely met our expectations. The ambiance was stunning and also warm and inviting. Best of all, even on opening day, the food was timely and made well.

Summer House on the Lake
When it comes to The Cookie Bar, there were plenty of great cookies to choose from, and they’re all fresh! The assortment and coffee bar is a great addition to Disney Springs.

The Cookie Bar
We highly recommend visiting Summer House on the Lake next time you’re in Disney Springs! You can currently make reservations via Open Table, but not yet on Disney’s website or in the My Disney Experience app.
If you don’t have time for a sit-down meal, you can always opt for The Cookie Bar!
