CONFIRMED: Typhoon Lagoon Closing Next Month in Disney World
Most things have reopened at Disney World since the initial closures from the global pandemic. However, there are a few aspects of the resort that remain closed or changed.
For example, Restaurant Marrakesh is not operating as a restaurant anymore in EPCOT — it’s now a lounge sponsored by Florida Blue Medicare.
Another thing that’s different is Disney’s water parks. They have been going through periods where they’re open for a while, and then they’re closed again.
And, it looks like we’re about to see one of the water parks close pretty soon!
Typhoon Lagoon Closing
Typhoon Lagoon will be temporarily closing starting November 5th! But, don’t worry, Blizzard Beach will be opening up the very next day, on November 6th.
We kind of figured this would be the case since we noticed the other day that Typhoon Lagoon wasn’t showing hours past November 4th. And, with Disney confirmed Blizzard Beach’s reopening this morning, it makes sense.
The two water parks haven’t been open at the same time in years. They’re been taking turns being open and we’re curious to see if they ever return to being open at the same time!
This used to happen during peak times of the year, so maybe we’ll see it happen again next summer, but we’ll have to wait and see.
So, you will only be without a water park in Disney World for one day in November. And, there is a lot to look forward to at Blizzard Beach for the holiday season — read more about it right here!
