Blue Lounge Offers Exclusive Beverages, Rest Spot
With the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival in full swing around World Showcase, the elusive Blue Lounge also reopened in the past few days. Tucked away in the Morocco Pavilion, the respite took over the location of Restaurant Marrakesh as a special perk presented by Florida Blue.
Open from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. each day, the Medicare Lounge offers a wide range of complimentary beverages as well as a few special surprises.
With temperatures still quite high and the Orlando humidity, the space also offers ample seating and, of course, air-conditioning.
Blue Lounge Beverage Choices Quench Thirst
Not only does the lounge greets guests with large containers of cool ice water, but it also offers a range of complimentary fresh-pressed juices and Moroccan-themed drinks.
For guests looking for something prepared onsite, visitors can also select from freshly brewed cold brew and mint iced tea.
With its emphasis on healthy choices, the lounge does offer only a limited number of add-ins for your beverages though. Today, the coffee and tea area provided oat and almond milks as well as sugar and honey to add a touch of sweetness.
Complimentary Surprises Add Special Touch
During a visit to the Blue Lounge, guests can expect unique experiences as well as a sentimental take-away.
In honor of the Blue Lounge’s location, guests should save time to receive a complimentary henna tattoo. In a nod to the importance of mosaic tiling in the pavilion’s architecture, a sculpting space allows guests to create their own tile to take home with them.
To enter the Blue Lounge, guests much show their Florida Blue Guest Pass at the entry way. To obtain a Guest Pass, simply go on the Disney World app, search for “Blue Lounge,” and select “Florida Blue Medicare Lounge presented by Florida Blue Medicare.”
From there, guests 18 and over can fill out a form to register for a pass. A simple screen shot of the official Guest Pass is enough for entry. The lounge will remain open throughout the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, closing on November 18th.
