Snacks Are Now More Expensive in Disney World
Everything in Disney World is getting more expensive. Okay, well, maybe not everything, but certainly a lot of things.
Just today, we’ve seen prices go up on things like Annual Passes, parking, and tickets. But, the biggest change that will affect almost everyone is the price increases on food around the resort.
Snack Price Increases
A TON of price increases just happened to Disney World food. We can’t list every single one of those changes here (because there are like…thousands), but we’re going to highlight some of them so you can get an idea of what’s going on.
Keep in mind that the prices can still vary depending on location.
Mickey Pretzels went from $7.49 to $8.25…
…and Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars AND Ice Cream Sandwiches went from $6.25 to $6.50.
Here’s a great example of the price increases on standard snacks you can find at kiosks and carts all around the parks. These were the prices at a cart in Animal Kingdom in July…
…and these are the prices we saw at a cart in EPCOT today.
Dole Whip went from $4.99 to $5.49 at places like Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs, but prices are now even higher over in Magic Kingdom.
Sunshine Tree Terrace saw their Dole Whip and Soft Serve Floats go from $5.99 to $6.29 and their Dole Whip and Soft Serve Cups go from $5.29 to $5.79.
At Aloha Isle, the many of the classic Dole Whip options seem to have stayed the same, but other items went up in price. The Tropical Serenade Float went from $7.49 to $7.99 and the regular Dole Pineapple Juice went from $3.99 to $4.29.
It seems that regular fountain drinks have gone up in price depending on location. At Westward Ho in Magic Kingdom we noticed that they went from $4.29 to $4.49.
Also over at Westward Ho, Frozen Minute Maid Lemonade Slushies went from $5.29 to $5.99.
Snacks like Hot Dogs increased in price, too. It depends on the location, but we noticed that the All-Beef Hot Dog served with chips went from $9.75 to $10.25 at Refreshment Outpost in EPCOT. Soft-serve in a Waffle Cone also went up over here from $6 to $6.25.
Alcohol increased in price as well. For example, a Bud Light on draft was $9.25 at Refreshment Port in EPCOT, and now it’s a full $10.
The Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich went from $9.99 to $10.29 at Woody’s Lunch Box. And, Lunch Box Tarts went from $4.49 to $4.79. The Grown-Ups’ Lemonade went from $13.50 to $14 here.
At Oga’s Cantina, basically all of the alcoholic drinks went up in price by at least $0.50.
And, treats like shaved ice over at Caravan Road in Animal Kingdom went from $4.99 to $5.49.
Those are just a small handful of all the price changes we’ve seen today!
These might seem like small price increases, but they can definitely add up over time and put a big dent in your budget. If you’re really trying to stick to a certain budget, make sure you map out how much everything you want to eat costs before your trip.
