HUNDREDS of Births Have Taken Place at Disney World in 2023!!
2023 has been a busy year over at the Disney World Resort!
Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom
The Disney100 celebration took over the parks, guests entered the world of TRON for the first time, and tons of iconic meet-and-greets hit the resort. But that’s not all–more than 300 animals have been born this year at the Disney World Resort!
Highlighting New Residents
The Walt Disney World News website shared that the resort welcomed the birth of hundreds of animals this year! From aquatic animals to mammals–there are a lot of new residents at the resort.

The website highlighted some of the new animals, like the new Zebra foals in Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Cricket and Dot, the new foals, were born six days apart and can be found running around with their parents. The foals each have unique stripe patterns, as well as unique personalities! Cricket loves splashing in the water, while Dot loves running around in the grass.

There are also cotton-top tamarin twins that were born in June! The twins are still just bigger than the palm of a hand and have begun exploring their home at Discovery Island without their mom and dad. They’re a guest favorite already and can be found chasing one another through the trees!

Over at the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail, there’s a new yellow-backed duiker! Penny, the new duiker, was born in spring and has already made her on-stage debut. Penny and her mom, Pearl, can be seen while walking the trail.

Pixie, the Shetland pony foal, was born this summer at Tri-Circle-D Ranch. She is the third Shetland pony born this year–Sprout and Finn being the first two. Pixie is already starting to train to join the Cinderella carriage team, made up of her mom, Lady, and sister, Lilly.
