PHOTOS & VIDEOS: Figment is Now Meeting Guests at EPCOT!
One of the highlights of this weekend’s Destination D23 Event at Walt Disney World was the news that the Figment meet-and-greet would kick off TODAY (September 10, 2023.) As you can imagine, Disney fans have rushed to EPCOT this morning to be among the first to snap a photo with this Walt Disney World icon and MickeyBlog is among them. Take a first look at the new Figment Meet and Greet below.
First, let’s talk crowds. We were expecting there to be a line to meet Figment this morning but the size of the line is a testament to this character’s popularity.

The line to meet Figment snaked out of the Imagination Pavilion and down the walkway!
It really was incredible to see so many people turn up to meet Figment.

The line continues once inside the Imagination Pavilion so if you’re at EPCOT today, be prepared for a lengthy wait.
For those unfamiliar, the Figment meet-and-greet is in the ImageWorks section of the Imagination Pavilion.
As you can see, the inside of the area features rainbow lighting.
A focal point is the Dreamport. This is the magical tunnel that Figment comes through when meeting guests!
Figment’s area features whimsical clouds, a multitude of colors, and even a tip-of-the-hat to the Dreamfinder, his original sidekick when the Imagination Pavilion first opened in 1980.

He did take a few minutes to pose for the crowds upon making his grand entrance.

The large crowd that turned up for the occasion was definitely excited to see him too!
Figment mingled with the crowd for a minute or two and then cast members escorted him to his designated meet-and-greet location.

Guests are able to take photos with Figment.
Disney PhotoPass photographers are on hand to capture the magical moment so be sure to check your My Disney Experience app for your photos! You can also check Figment’s appearance times in the app.

As you can see from this image, Figment does not sign autographs.

Instead, an autograph card is handed out to all guests which is a fun free keepsake!

Figment will be at his meet and greet location throughout the day in ImageWorks/Imagination Pavilion.

He will take breaks at random intervals but the line will remain open during this time.

I can’t tell you how nice it is to see Figment in his rightful place at EPCOT!

It is a character encounter that is long overdue.

The cast definitely had their work cut out for them with the opening day crowds but they handled things seamlessly!
