More Scaffolding Coming Down at Disneyland Park’s Adventureland Treehouse!
Disneyland Park is getting quite the facelift!
Tiana’s Palace just opened and people are coming from everywhere to try her cooking. Construction is still underway over at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. And Fantasmic! will be returning next year with exciting updates…and hopefully less fire. But let’s take a look at another project that’s getting ready to open this fall.
Progress on Adventureland Treehouse
More scaffolding is coming down over at the Adventureland Treehouse in Disneyland Park! Take a look:
The upper area looks finished–with tons of interesting details! We noticed the lookout point, exposed ship hull, and the various staircases to climb on!
Disney recently announced that the treehouse would reopen this fall, without a specific date provided. However, it seems like the reimagination is almost complete!
Background of the Adventureland Treehouse
For those unfamiliar with the project, the Adventureland Treehouse is being rethemed to Swiss Family Robinson! This isn’t the first time the treehouse has been inspired by the Swiss Family Robinson–it opened with the theme in 1962.
It was then rethemed to Tarzan in 1999. It’s interesting to see Disney return a ride back to its original theme after it was reimagined. I guess this really nails down the validity behind, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
