BREAKING: Fantasmic! Returns 2024 to Disneyland!
Good morning Disney fans! We have all been waiting news and updates for this much-beloved night-time spectacular that closed earlier this year.
Fantasmic! at Disneyland closed this past spring when a fire broke out during an evening performance. Due to the damage and safety concerns from the fire, Disneyland had temporarily suspended all Fantasmic! performances while the production was re-vamped.
Disneyland Resort just announced that Fantasmic! will return Spring 2024. Read on for all we know.
2023 Hiatus
Fantasmic! at Disneyland Resort is on hiatus for the remainder of 2023 until early spring 2024. When the show returns, one thing will be missing! It won’t include the iconic dragon.
Disney has teased that the new updated show will offer new special effects and a new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent.

Disneyland Officials released this statement yesterday:
Our goal is to always deliver the best possible show for our guests. With that in mind, we are planning the return of “Fantasmic!” with exciting new magic in spring 2024. As teams continue work on the show, we have launched nightly entertainment on the Rivers of America this summer and we are working on even more exciting entertainment offerings for our guests later this year.
