A Once in a Life Documentary ‘Disney100: A Century of Dreams’ Airs Tonight on ABC
Disney Legends and stars alike will tell the “story behind the story” when ABC airs its “once in a lifetime” documentary event Disney 100: A Century of Dreams – A Special Edition of 20/20.
The inside look at the history of The Walt Disney Company will feature interviews, rare footage, and never-before-heard stories from the people who have made Disney magic for a century.
Fans will also get an inside look at the newest Disney attraction as a special bonus.
From Mickey Mouse to the Modern Day
The upcoming documentary will begin with Walt’s creation of Mickey Mouse and continue to the modern day.
According to ABC, the documentary will tell the story:
“From the creation of the Disney Brothers Studio to modern beloved brands such as Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and 21st Century Fox, the core DNA of Disney remains the same: storytelling, creativity, innovation and optimism. The special is a celebration of the countless Disney creators, telling the story behind the story that will astonish even the biggest Disney superfans, and viewers will be treated to an inside look at an all-new Disney attraction.”
Disney Legends and Stars
Disney 100: A Century of Dreams will feature interviews with Disney CEO Bob Iger and Disney Legends, including Dick Van Dyke, Richard Sherman, Julie Andrews, and Alan Menken.
Walt Disney’s grandsons, Chris and Walter Miller, will also be featured.
Finally, the special will feature appearances by stars such as Chris Evans, Jon Stamos, Jodi Benson, Katy Perry, and Idina Menzel.
Disney 100: A Century of Dreams – A Special Edition of 20/20 will air tonight on ABC at 9 p.m. ET. It will be available on Hulu to stream the following day. According to ABC, the special will also be available on Disney+ later this month. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, check it out now!
