Holiday Festivities Will Be Returning To Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2022
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog then you’ll know that today has been a HUGE day for Halfway to the Holidays ! Disney has been unveiling all of the incredible holiday details for 2022 including this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. But the fun just isn’t limited to the Magic Kingdom. Festive fun will be found across all four theme parks including Disney’s Animal Kingdom where many of our favorite seasonal offerings are returning this year.
Here are some of the incredible activities that you’ll want to be on the lookout for at Animal Kingdom in 2022:
Santa Claus Festive Flotilla – Be sure to watch the waterways at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this November and December. Santa Claus will be sailing down Discovery River to wave to visitors. He’ll be accompanied by a jolly, world-beat soundtrack.
Merry Menagerie – This is one of my personal favorite holiday activities across all four Walt Disney World theme parks. Discovery Island is transformed into a winter wonderland and taking center stage are artisan-sculpted puppets of arctic animals like penguins, reindeer, foxes and polar bears.

Tree of Life Awakenings – Holiday Edition- When it comes to holiday décor, it doesn’t get much better than the special holiday edition of Tree of Life Awakenings – Holiday Edition. During this festive offering, the Tree of Life shimmers and sparkles each evening. The entire production is accompanied by a heartwarming musical scare.
Discovery Island Drummers Festive Flotilla – You’ll be swaying to the beat when this colorful group of percussionists cruise along Discovery River entertaining guests along the shore.
