Disney Entertainment Scores Big with 163 Emmy Nominations
The Walt Disney Company owns a LOT of the media that’s popular today, from big blockbuster hits to streaming content. Just think about how much they make with Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar alone!

When you think of Disney Entertainment, your mind might go straight to movies, but Disney makes a ton of television as well. And now, it’s that time of year where they’re recognized for their efforts — the 2023 Emmy nominations have been released!
Disney Emmy Nominations
The Walt Disney Company received 163 nominations for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards! This was announced in a release from the company.
This includes content from ABC, ABC News Studios, Disney Branded Television, Disney+, Disney Television Studios (20th Television Animation, 20th Television, and ABC Signature), FX, FX Productions, Hulu, National Geographic, Onyx Collective, Searchlight Pictures, Searchlight Television, and Walt Disney Studios (20th Century Studios, Lucasfilm Ltd., and Marvel Studios).
Disney+ received 40 nominations and Hulu got 33 nominations.
The Emmy nominations are for television shows, limited series, and movies released between June 1st, 2022 and May 31st, 2023. Now, thanks to Variety, let’s take a look at what was nominated from Disney!

Notably, Disney+ and Star Wars’ Andor is nominated for Best Drama Series. For Best Comedy Series, ABC’s Abbott Elementary and Hulu’sThe Bear and Only Murders in the Building are nominated.
For Best Limited Series, Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi received a nomination as did Hulu’s Fleishman Is in Trouble.

The 75th annual Emmy Awards are happening on September 18th in Los Angeles and will be shown live on Fox at 8PM ET. The 2-night Creative Arts Emmys will be on September 9th & 10th and will be broadcast by FXX on September 10th.
