New Sushi Restaurant to Replace Tokyo Dining in EPCOT
There are a number of amazing restaurants in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion, but one restaurant has been shrouded in mystery lately.
After reopening in 2021, Tokyo Dining closed for a lengthy refurbishment, and in May 2023, Disney announced a new sushi restaurant coming to EPCOT. Although Disney did not officially confirm where the new restaurant would be located, the description sounded a LOT like Toyko Dining’s location, and now it just got a little more official.
Shiki-Sai Izakaya and Sushi
Now if you visit Tokyo Dining’s official webpage, the title reads Shiki-Sai Izakaya and Sushi, the name of the new restaurant coming to the Japan Pavilion.
Does this mean that Tokyo Dining is officially closing to make way for the new restaurant? Probably, although note that Disney has not yet officially announced this.
Tokyo Dining is located above the Mitsukoshi store, with beautiful views of the World Showcase Lagoon. Yes, that means it’s also an excellent spot to watch EPCOT fireworks!
Check out that view!!
The new restaurant, Shiki-Sai Izakaya and Sushi, will serve sushi and teppan items, and it will also feature an open sushi bar and grill. Some of the standout dishes will include Kobore Sushi, Tokyo Negi Roll, Funamori, and The Monster Roll.
It’s expected to open in EPCOT this summer, and you better believe that MickeyBlog will be there for all the fun.
