BREAKING NEWS: Disneyland Vacation Club Villas Will Open Up For The Holidays
Though there are no opening plans in site for Disneyland theme parks, according to a recent piece in the Orange County Register, a letter is going out to DVC members to let them know that Vacation Club Villas will reopening next month for those looking to spend their holidays on the west coast.
In the letter, it was announced that Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will reopen on December 6th.
According the Register, the letter reads, “This is yet another positive step forward.” It continues “Our cast couldn’t be happier to welcome you back home.” DVC members with preexisting reservations will be contacted by Disney regarding their reservations.
It should be noted that ONLY the DVC component of the properties will be reopening. Non-DVC members will NOT be able to make Disneyland Resort reservations at this time.
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog then you know that California Governor Gavin Newsom is holding firm on his reopening strategies for the state of California which means that the theme parks are NOT able to reopen until new coronavirus cases have drastically decreased. With a surge in COVID-19 cases expected over the winter months, it remains uncertain when we may see Disneyland and Disney California Adventure reopen their gates. Many are speculating that it will not be until some time in 2021.
So what is there for DVC members to do at Disneyland in the meantime?
Downtown Disney with its array of shopping and dining offerings has been open since the Summer and will remain open throughout the holiday season. Disneyland has also announced recently that they will be opening Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure for shopping experiences ONLY.
Guests should note that safety protocols and social distancing measures will be in place, this will be extended to the DVC villas.
