Splash Mountain Sign Removed at Disneyland
We knew it was coming, but it’s still sad to see it go. Splash Mountain‘s iconic sign has been removed at Disneyland.
Splash Mountain
MickeyBlog was there as fans said goodbye on Splash Mountain’s final day of operation. People lined up early to ensure they had opportune time to experience the attraction.
Splash Mountain officially closed on May 31, 2023. This follows the ride’s closure at Disney World back in January.
Recently, we saw its replacement, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, appear on the Disneyland and Disney World digital maps. The new version takes its inspiration from The Princess and the Frog film.

Speaking of which, as previously reported “Tiana’s Foods” signs are now posted on the construction walls surrounding the ride. At one point along the barrier, there’s even a Tiana’s Bayou Adventure mural where you can snap a fun photo!
Tiana’s Foods refers to the new storyline created for the attraction. Disney gave us insight back in February.

“Walt Disney Imagineering is creating an original, next chapter story for Tiana. Within the attraction queue, guests will discover that she continues to grow her business with Tiana’s Foods – an employee-owned cooperative. Combining her talents with those of the local community, Tiana has transformed an aging salt mine and built a beloved brand.”
As you make your way to the entrance building, you’ll notice that the nostalgic Splash Mountain sign has now been removed. It’s strange to see such a long-time fixture go and frankly looks odd without it.
Here’s a closer look at the site.
Splash Mountain Sign Removed

As you can see, it’s left its mark, with a dark spot in the place where it was posted for over 30 years.

Currently, the section is bare, with the “Stand-By Entrance” and “Lightning Lane” signs also removed.
MickeyBlog will continue to update you on the status of Splash Mountain’s transformation into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland.
