Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Magically Appears on Disneyland Park Map
Times are a-changing over at Disneyland Park this week!
In case you missed the (rather monumental) news, Splash Mountain took its final plunge at the Disneyland Resort on Tuesday, during a spectacular day in Anaheim filled with cheering crowds, high emotion, and many, many ponchos.
Now, as the beloved attraction has stopped flowing for good, we are looking forward to the site’s transformation into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, an all-new experience that will build on the characters, stories, and sounds of Disney’s Princess and the Frog.
This adventure has been billed to open in 2024, but it looks like Disney is wasting no time whatsoever in paving the way toward the future.
Because, when our MickeyBloggers opened our Disneyland app up this morning, we were surprised to see that the attraction’s title and artwork had already been added to the official park map!
As you can see from this screenshot, the stump formerly inhabited by Splash Mountain is now labeled “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure,” with the exciting exclamation of “Coming 2024!” written underneath.
After seeing this app update, we also checked the map on the official Disneyland website, and can confirm it’s the same case over there, too!
It has to be said, the elegant cursive font and glittering detail to this new label are sure to add some pizazz to Critter Country’s corner of the map. This whole transformation surely will be a big change to the area!
It’s also worth noting that the actual area itself has also already taken steps towards the transformation. Yesterday, our reporters noted themed construction walls bearing attraction artwork had already been mounted, despite less than 24 hours having passed since Splash’s final plunge down the mountain.
You can check out more of the exciting changes in our photo report here, and be sure to stay tuned for more updates as the development progresses!
Are you excited about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure? Yes, we do have a long wait ahead of us until we can experience the attraction, but this new map update and addition of themed construction walls are certainly adding to our intrigue.
We’ll be keeping a close eye out for both construction updates and any new sneak peeks from Disney Imagineering, and we look forward to counting down with you all over the next year!
