Disney World Will Not Be Charging Annual Passholders During COVID-19 Outbreak
Yesterday, we here at MickeyBlog shared with you the news that Disneyland had relented on plans to continue to charge Annual Passholders during the COVID-19 outbreak and according to a recent report on ClickOrlando, it looks like Walt Disney World is following suit.
Disney announced yesterday that they would be furloughing all non-essential Disney theme park employees. Around the same time, an email was sent to annual passholders letting them know that monthly payments will be placed on hold through the closure period.
In addition, Disney also stated that they will refund Annual Pass payments made from March 14 – April 5th for passholders that pay monthly and have recently been charged.
Passholders who have paid in full for the year can either have their park passes extended for the same number of days as the closure once the parks re-open or opt for a partial refund.
Here’s a look at the official policy on disneyworld.com
Disney has said that they will continue to email park pass holders with updated information.
Walt Disney World Resort parks have been closed since March 15 and will remain closed until further notice. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for the latest Walt Disney World news and updates!
