Flik Buzzes into Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a RARE Meet & Greet Opportunity!
There’s a very special meet and greet opportunity available over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, as everyone’s favorite ant Flik has popped by for a visit!
As you may already know, the beautiful Animal Kingdom is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary this month at Walt Disney World, coinciding as always with Earth Month. In honor of this extra-special occasion, the park is currently offering a series of unique and exclusive events and experiences for guests to enjoy… and this includes star appearances from rarely-spotted characters!
From A Bug’s Life fame, Flik is a fantastic character to be able to meet and greet, especially at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Our MickeyBlogger Jared was there to say “hi” this morning, and snapped some fantastic photos of the interaction.
With Flik’s award-winning smile and super poses, he definitely seemed ready for the snaps!
It’s unusual to see Flik in the parks, presumably what with him being an ant and all. He’s usually so busy conducting the bugs over at the divisive “It’s Tough to Be a Bug!” attraction, but we’re so glad to see he’s crawled out from under the Tree of Life to say hi to guests!
This fun Flik encounter is just one of many unique character interactions MickeyBloggers have enjoyed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom so far this week. Earlier, we found Goofy out greeting guests, sporting a rather fetching outfit inspired by Earth Day, and we’ve also found Jane and Terk (they’d stopped by to visit Tarzan, presumably,) and Kenai and Koda.
As well as the character interactions, other fun anniversary events at DAK include new treats, exclusive Wilderness Explorer badges, unique photo opportunities, animal featurettes, and more.
There’s honestly so much going on, that even The Muppets stopped by earlier this week for a visit!
If you’re planning a visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this April, be sure to keep an eye on the park schedule and My Disney Experience app to see when, where, and which characters are out meeting guests. Designated character greeting spots such as this one near the Tree of Life are good to stay close by to as well, in case any more surprise visitors pop by for a photo!
Have you met Flik at Disney’s Animal Kingdom before? He was a lot of fun, and we hope to see him again soon!
