Genie+ Sells Out AGAIN in Disney World
Disney launched its Genie service back in 2021, and there have beens some very mixed reviews. The free service definitely has its benefits, but people were less than thrilled to have to pay for Genie+.

Genie+ is the service that has replaced the former FastPass system (which was free!). It allows you to make reservations for the Lightning Lanes of various rides around the parks and essentially skip the regular line.
You do have to pay for the service, and it can sell out. We’ve been seeing it sell out a lot more recently, and today is no different.

Disney Genie+ has once again sold out in Disney World. It was no longer available shortly after 10AM today.

This is one of the earliest times the service has sold out! Yesterday we noticed it was gone around 10:30AM.
Why is this a big deal? Well, Genie+ cost $35 per person today, which is the highest price to date. It’s a little bit worrying that Genie+ is selling out earlier than ever at its highest price ever.

You would think the higher price would deter more people, but it could be having the opposite effect. This could be relaying that it’s going to be a very busy day in the parks and that the service is in high demand, thus making it more desirable.
If it can sell out this quickly at its highest price, what’s to stop Disney from raising the price even more? They obviously know people will buy it.

Genie+ started out at $15 per day, per person when it first launched and for almost a year after. But, then Disney switched to demand-based pricing, meaning the busier it is in the parks, the higher they can charge.
We are sad to say that $15 for Genie+ might be a thing of the past. Or, it will at least be a rare sight to see.

So, if you do still want to buy Genie+ at its higher pricing, you want to make sure you grab it before it has a chance to sell out. It becomes available at midnight on the day of your park ticket, so if you’re awake, we’d suggest you go ahead and grab it then!
If you won’t be awake at that time, get it as SOON as you wake up. We’re talking your alarm goes off, you grab your phone, buy Genie+. We know this seems excessive, but it’s better to be safe than sorry!
Of course, you don’t HAVE to buy Genie+ to enjoy the parks. You can totally still have a lovely time without the service. However, if you want to save time in long lines, Genie+ is the way to do it.
