New Color and Sound Entrance Sequence for Annual Passholders Starting Today!
Beginning today, Annual Passholders will experience a brand new color and sound sequence when scanning their magic band or annual pass at any Walt Disney World park.
No longer will the green circle be greeting passholders, instead a purple circle will appear when scanning as an ode to the beloved Figment.
The new sound effect is reminiscent of pixie dust being sprinkled with the beautiful purple hue of Figment himself.
This new sequence is not just limited to Figment’s home of EPCOT either, the new sound and color will appear when scanning into any of the four main Walt Disney World theme parks, including Magic Kingdom.
The Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook page shared this picture of one of the Main Entrance cast members, Maria, celebrating the new change this morning.
It is currently unknown if this change is here to stay, or will only last the duration of the 50th-anniversary celebrations that are currently happening around the Walt Disney World Resort.
The new sequence is sure to bring excitement and smiles to those who love and visit the parks frequently, adding new magic to what becomes the prelude to the magic.
This new experience is only for those with annual passes to the park, therefore visitors with day passes will still experience the classic green color and sound sequence.
