A Crazy Spring Break Season
While the spring break season is only two weeks old, according to MCO, there have already been six record breaking days at the airport.
On Saturday, March 11, the airport recorded more than 95,000 departures, breaking the previous single day record set in March 2019.

Last weekended, both Saturday and Sunday at the airport were record breaking days, becoming the airports second and third busiest days ever respectively.
Tourism Has Returned
During the spring break travel period, which will run from March 4 to April 18, an amazing 7.3 million passengers are expected to pass through MCO.
That is roughly a million more passengers than visited the Orlando airport during spring break 2022.
These numbers further point towards a rebound for the Central Florida tourism industry following the COVID-19 pandemic. After last year’s record breaking year for Orlando International Airport, the numbers are continuing to increase.
Central Florida has seen a boom in tourism and construction since the end of the COVID pandemic.
So, if you are planning on passing through MCO today, be sure to give yourself some extra time. Airport officials are also warning that parking spaces may be scare.
