Orlando International Airport Readies for Record- Breaking Spring Break Travel!
Are you traveling to Orlando or Disney World in the next few weeks?
Saturday, March 4th, was the official start of MCO’s Spring Break travel period, and the airport is ready to manage the anticipated large number of travelers.

Spring Break travel includes a 46-day travel period that runs from March 4th-April 18th. MCO anticipates approximately 7.3 million passengers during the 46-day period.

MCO released these numbers early last week, stating they represent an anticipated 13% increase (nearly 1 million more travelers) over last year’s 2022 travel numbers.

The current daily travel record at Orlando International Airport is 90,804 departures in March 2019. The second busiest day was just last weekend with 89,863 departures.

Travel Tips

- Travelers should allow plenty of time to park, check baggage, and go through security processing.
- Arrive at least 3 hours prior to your departure time.
- Follow TSA security checkpoint rules.
Pack as lightly as possible.
- Do not pack firearms or weapons in your carry-on luggage.
- Print or download your boarding pass prior to arriving at the airport.
- Reserve a time-slot to go through security with MCO Reserve.
