Pre-show Actor Sparks Rumors of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Retheme in Disney World
Are you a fan of Disney World ride re-theming? You know, like how Splash Mountain is getting re-themed as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure?
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is all about the famous rock band Aerosmith, with a pre-show starring Aerosmith and the ride itself playing one of five different Aerosmith songs.
The indoor roller coaster recently closed in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a lengthy refurbishment lasting from February 2023 to summer 2023, and there have been speculations as to whether Aerosmith would continue to be the ride theme.
Find out what one of the actors in the pre-show had to say!
Will Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Be Rethemed?
Over the years, there have been many rumors and opinions about re-theming Disney World’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to another rock band or even a movie, although Disney has made no announcements or even suggestions implying that this could be a possibility.
In contrast, the version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disneyland Paris was recently re-themed to Marvel’s Avengers Assemble: Flight Force.
Now, let’s step back for just a second to review the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster pre-show in Disney World, which stars Aerosmith in addition to actors Ileana Douglas and Ken Marino.
The scene sets the tone for the ride, with the band manager inviting guests to come backstage at Aerosmith’s concert.
Over on Twitter, Alicia Stella recently shared an interview with Ken Marino on Office Hours Live. In the clip, Marino suggests that Queen might be replacing Aerosmith in Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
On today’s episode of Office Hours Live, Ken Marino, who appeared in the preshow for Rockin’ Roller Coaster, claims Queen will be replacing Aerosmith. (This is not confirmed by Disney.)

Marino later followed up with a Tweet of his own, claiming, “I have no idea what they are changing it to.”
According to him, someone once suggested Queen as the re-theme, but he admitted that “it was more of a rumor.”
I have no idea what they are changing it to. Some one said that to me at some point so then I said it. It was more of rumor than anything else I suppose. Maybe it’s gonna be the new Billie Holiday ride. Could be good. https://t.co/68Kc2Vk8P4

Disney has not yet shared what the lengthy refurbishment of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster may entail nor announced any plans to re-theme the ride, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any announcements.
