Chef Mickey’s Buffet is Returning March 1, 2023!
All of my fellow buffet fans rejoice! Disney has announced that Chef Mickey’s will return to buffet style dining beginning March 1, 2023.
For those of you who don’t know, Chef Mickey’s is the flagship character dining experience at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. While the restaurant has traditionally offered buffets for breakfast and dinner, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the location’s serving style.
When Chef Mickey’s initially reopened, it only operated for breakfast, and without characters. At this time, the restaurant switched to a family-style meal.
Subsequently, the restaurant has seen the return of its famous characters, and extended its hours back through dinner.
Now, nearly three years after its initial closure, Chef Mickey’s buffet is back! February 28 will be the last day for family-style dining, with buffet dining for breakfast and dinner returning on March 1, 2023.
Let’s be honest, there are not many things better than eating at a buffet on Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s Grand Canyon Concourse.

While we have yet to see the new buffet menu, Disney has promised to release that information soon. MickeyBlog will continue to monitor the situation and pass along any updates we hear!
