Conrad the Tiger Joins Maharajah Jungle Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

As they roam through the mythical forest, Guests will encounter animals such as gibbons, Elds deer, Blackbuck, Komodo dragon, Malayan flying fox, and water buffalo. In addition, they can visit an aviary that features over 50 species of birds!

Tigers at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
A graceful but powerful apex predator, tigers live in India and Southeast Asia in the wild. Their environment consists of tropical rainforests, mangrove swamps, and forests.
The Sumatran tiger, found only on the Indonesian island of Sumatra, is the rarest breed. Guests can encounter the creature on the Maharajah Jungle Trek.
Conrad the Tiger
In an Instagram post, Dr. Mark Penning, aka @drmarkatdisney shared a video of the Jungle Trek’s latest addition. Penning shares, “Introducing … Conrad, the ‘paw-some’ new addition to Maharajah Jungle Trek at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park!
He goes on to say, “Conrad came to us through a @Zoos_Aquariums’ Species Survival Plan (SSP) recommendation, which helps sustain healthy populations in managed care, including critically endangered Sumatran tigers like Conrad.”
