Doctor Who is coming Disney+ in 2023!
Get excited Whovians! The infamous BBC series with a huge cult following that first appeared on screen in 1963 is coming to Disney+!

New Streaming Service
In fact, back in the day I would watch reruns on my local PBS station on Friday Nights. Now, Doctor Who will find a new home on the popular streaming service, Disney+.
Don’t worry UK and Ireland viewers! Doctor Who will still air as usual on the BBC, but this gives international viewers outside of the UK and Ireland a chance to stream the popular show.
The switch over is expected to take place in November of 2023.

Currently, viewers can watch the newer 13 seasons on the HBO Max streaming service. There you can catch up with Doctors: Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker.

What comes next?
Jodie Whittaker’s stretch as the Doctor has just come to an end. And now, we enter a season of change for Doctor Who.
New streaming service, new Doctor, new villain and returning favorites.

Next season, the Doctor will be Ncuti Gatwa, a Scottish actor that was born in Rwanda. This will make him the first Black person to take on the role and portraying the first gay Doctor as well.

Before Ncuti is set to take over, there will be a trio of special episodes in celebration of Doctor Who’s 60th Anniversary.
In these episodes we will see the return of fan favorites David Tennant as the Doctor, Catherine Tate as Donna Noble and the return of Russell T Davies who brought Doctor Who back to life in 2005 as the show runner.

During the 60th Anniversary special episodes, the Doctor is set to face the greatest enemy in Doctor Who history. That villain will be played by none other than Neil Patrick Harris.
