Followers of the Percy Jackson series know that the Empire State Building plays a special role in Percy’s journey. In the books, Olympus had moved to America and was situated as the hidden 600th floor of the Empire State Building.
Many of Percy’s greatest adventures happen at the Empire State Building in New York City. It is the scene of so much excitement in the series!
It is an appropriate celebration of Percy’s birthday that the Empire State Building would be lit in blue. Fans know that Percy is the son of the sea god, Poseidon. You can see in this video how brilliant the light stands out against the New York City skyline!
