Cast Members Say Goodbye to Mickey’s Toontown
Mickey’s Toontown opened at Disneyland theme park back in 1993. Since that time, guests have enjoyed visiting the cartoon homes of Mickey, Minnie and Donald.
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that Mickey’s Toontown is being reimagined. The area will be closing while Imagineers get to work on new play experiences, grassy spaces, areas for parental relaxation and a new attraction- Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Cast members at Disneyland bid a fond farewell to Toontown over the last few weeks as the land will remain closed until early 2023.
To give cast members a chance to experience Mickey’s Toontown one last time, Disneyland held a cast-exclusive event. This included a ride on Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin and Gadget’s Go Coaster. There were also photo ops in front of Toontown landmarks as well as with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and even a dance party in the middle of Toontown square.
You can check out footage of the cast party below:
