RECAP: All of Disney World’s Fab 50 Statues Revealed
What a magical journey it has been Disney friends!
This summer Disney World unveiled their plans to create golden statues representative of 50 of our favorite Disney characters that would be displayed around the four theme parks during Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration!
Almost every day during the past several weeks, Disney has given us a magical reveal of one of the statues in the Fab 50 line up. Yesterday’s Tinker Bell reveal was the last. We here at MickeyBlog thought what better way to celebrate all these whimsically wonderful reveals than by sharing a re-cap with you!
The first reveal in the Fab 50 collection should come as no surprise. Let’s take a look:
Mickey Mouse- Magic Kingdom
What better way to kick off the collection than with a little help from our best pall Mickey along with the voice of Mickey Brett Iwan! Mickey definitely deserves pride of place at the top of the list!

Goofy – Magic Kingdom
Back on July 16, Disney gave the second Fab 50 reveal with a little help from Bill Farmer. Bill plays the voice of this beloved member of the Fab 5 – it’s Goofy!

Timon & Pumbaa – Disney’s Animal Kingdom
It wouldn’t be a Fab 50 collection without commemorating the two laughable, loveable cohorts that gave us “Hakuna Matata.” None other than Timon and Pumbaa were introduced to us by Don Hahn, producer of Walt DisneyAnimation Studios!

Cogsworth & Lumiere – Magic Kingdom
The dining room (with a little help from Susan Egan) proudly presents your next Fab 50 statue! That’s right, its none other than Cogsworth and Lumiere- beloved friends of bell from Beauty and the Beast! You’ll want to be on the lookout for this duo during your Magic Kingdom visit!
Daisy Duck – Magic Kingdom
On July 23rd, we shared the news that Daisy would be joining the ranks of our favorite Disney friends with her very own Fab 50 statue! Here’s the announcement below from author Fabiola Garza, cover artist for “A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of the Most Magical Place on Earth,”

Winnie the Pooh and Piglet – Magic Kingdom
Now it’s time to pay a visit to some of our favorite friends in Hundred Acre Wood! George A. Kalogridis, Walt Disney World 50th Global Ambassador, has revealed that Winnie the Pooh and Piglet are part of the Fab 50 collection.

Edna Mode – Hollywood Studios
The next reveal was none other than fashion designer to the super heroes- Edna Mode!

Edna was introduced by none other than Bryn Imagire, Pixar Art Director (who in our opinion, bears more than a striking resemblance to the character!)
Dante – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
This next reveal is “un poco loco” and is the first character from beloved Pixar film Coco to get a statue. It is none other than Dante, Miguel’s canine companion.

Joe Gardener – EPCOT
This next fab 50 reveal has a lot of “soul.” It’s none other than Joe Gardener from the beloved Pixar film Soul. The reveal was made by two of the creative forces behind the Pixar film Pete Docter and Kemp Powers.
Cheshire Cat – Magic Kingdom
This next Fab 50 reveal has us grinning from ear-to-ear and was even announced by Disney World President Jeff Vahle with some Cast Member help!

Bo Beep & Woody – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Like Pooh and Piglet, this is another Disney duo that deserves to be together! Beloved actress and voice of Bo Peep took to Instagram to announce that this adorable Pixar couple would be sharing a statue.

Have we gone slightly mad or is the next Fab 50 statue none other than the Mad Hatter! Ashley Eckstein much-loved voiceover actress and the brains behind Her Universe was here to share the news!

R2-D2- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Now it’s time to head to a galaxy far, far away with the announcement of our first Star Wars character to make the cut. R2-D2 plays a pinitol role in the saga so it’s only fitting he’ll be honored with a statue. The Instagram reveal was made by Disney Imagineers Ann Morrow Johnson and Scott Trowbridge.

Orange Bird – Magic Kingdom
Confession, this Fab 50 statue has to be one of my favorites! The iconic Orange Bird will be joining the ranks of other iconic Disney friends with a statue at Magic Kingdom. The announcement was made by Michael Vargo, Head of D23.

Sebastian and Flounder – EPCOT
We’re flipping our fins over the news shared by Terri Schultz, Senior Vice President, Disney Vacation Club, Guided Adventures & Expeditions and Golden Oak that Flounder and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid would be sharing a statue at EPCOT!

Dumbo and Timothy – Magic Kingdom
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that we previously shared the news that John Stamos had an actually Dumbo car from the Dumbo the Flying Elephant in his house. Therefore, it seems fitting that he’d be here to announce the Dumbo and Timothy are sharing a statue!
Chip and Dale – Magic Kingdom
We got form one beloved duo to another with the news that Chip and Dale would be sharing a Fab 50 statue at the Magic Kingdom!

Figment – EPCOT
Disney is all about imaginative storytelling. That’s why it wouldn’t be a Fab 50 collection with the mascot for all things imagination and EPCOT – Figment.

Stitch – Magic Kingdom
Who is ready for a Hawaiian Roller Coaster ride with this mischievous fella. Lilo’s alien companion is almost as beloved as the Fab 5 and were so excited that he is joining the golden statue ‘ohana!

Since Stitch is synonymous with Aulani, it seems only fitting that this year’s Aulani Ambassador Alyssa-Lende E Kane made the announcement.
Abu – Magic Kingdom
Aladdin’s monkey companion (and sometimes elephant) Abu was announced as the next Fab 50 statue on August 16th.

Jacques and Gus – Magic Kingdom
Next we have Cinderella’s tiny little friends Gus and Jacques. They’re standing atop an adorable storybook and holding up a coin with 50th Anniversary engraved on it.

Minnie Mouse – Magic Kingdom
Mickey was missing his Minnie but not to worry. Here she is!

Pinocchio- Magic Kingdom
The next statue to be on the lookout for during your Magic Kingdom visit is one other than Pinocchio! Christ Buck, director at Disney Animation took to Twitter to share this awesome news with us!
Nemo and Dory – Disney’s Animal Kingdom
It’s back under the sea for this next statue-sharing duo! Dory and Nemo are making a splash with this delightful statue. Just look at those happy grins.

Simba – Disney’s Animal Kingdom
This little fella just can’t wait to be king, but for the time being a golden statue will do! You can find this cub at Disney’s Animal Kingdom where he joins his friends Timon and Pumbaa!
Olaf and Bruni
Put him in EPCOT and he’ll be a Happy Snowman! We couldn’t have Fab 50 character statues and NOT include everyone’s favorite snowman! He even agreed to share his space with the always adorable Bruni!

BB-8 – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The newly announced ambassadors for 2022 had the great honor of being able to announce the second of the droids to get their own Fab 50 statues! (R2-D2 was the first.) He’ll be on display at Hollywood Studios – the home of Galaxy’s Edge.

Bambi , Thumper (and butterfly!) – Disney’s Animal Kingdom
We have are last golden statue for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Bambi and Thumper can now take their rightful place among the others. We love all of the detail in this particular statue, right down to the butterfly on Bambi’s tail. Roy Conli, a producer at Disney Animation and Disneynature shared the details!

Rocket Raccoon and Groot – EPCOT
Disney is still hard at work on the indoor Guardians of the Galaxy coaster coming to the newly re-imagined EPCOT. However, that doesn’t mean we can celebrate this beloved Marvel duo now!
And if the person making the announcement looks familiar, it is none other than Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley. We are so grateful for him and the Disney details he sends our way each and every week.
Lady and the Tramp- Magic Kingdom
This adorable canine duo was announced via an Instagram story.
We had a chance to check them out at Magic Kingdom this morning we’re they can be found in their new home in Town Square.
Miguel – EPCOT
We were excited earlier in the reveals when we announced that Dante from Coco was getting his own statue. But with the announcement of Miguel we are over the moon!
It seems only fitting that these two should be near one another at EPCOT. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime you can check out the official reveal below.

Pua and Hei-hei- EPCOT
Rounding out our EPCOT statues is none other than Moana’s faithful friends Pua and Hei-hei. A Moana-themed attraction will be coming to EPCOT as part of it’s redevelopment so it seems only fitting that they become familiar with the place!

Last, but not least is Tinker Bell who our MickeyBloggers actually had a chance to check out today! When I think of Tinker Bell I always think of her flying across the sky after a day at the Magic Kingdom!

The Tinker Bell announcement was made by Yara Shahidi who will also be taking on the role of Tink in the upcoming live-action Disney+ release Peter Pan and Wendy.
