Some Quick Tips For Your Disneyland Getaway
Good morning Disney friends! As Disneyland continues to welcome guests back to both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure the awesome planDisney crew has put together a handful of quick tips to help all you California Residents make the most out of your visit.
And with the Avengers Campus making its grand debut in just a few short weeks we thought now is the best time to share! Check out the video below:
Here’s a quick re-cap of all of the awesome steps that Tiffanie from PlanDisney took us through.
Check Park Pass Availability- Its important that prior to solidifying plans for your Disneyland vacation, you’ll wait to check to see what availability is like at the theme parks. Under Disney’s new park pass system guests are required to reserve your theme park passes IN ADDITION to getting your ticket. ALSO NOTE: Staying at Disney’s Grand Californian does not guarantee you admission to the parks.
Park pass availability can be checked out here.
As you can see from the calendar above, both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have limited availability through until Mid-July. That’s why it ALWAYS pays to check out availability first.
Book Those Tickets and Make Resort Reservations: If availability looks good during your travel dates then you’ll want to book your tickets! For those planning on staying on property, Disney’s Grand Californian has reopened to guests but in a limited capacity. Paradise Pier and the Disneyland Hotel will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
There are also many Disney Good Neighbor Hotels in the Anaheim area that offer awesome accommodation right on Disneyland’s doorstep. Make Those Park Pass Reservations: Booked your Disneyland vacation package? Make the next step securing your Park Passes so you know that you can visit the parks you want when you want! You can do so through the Disneyland App.
Remember California Residents Only: Right now, Disneyland currently has a policy in place where due to health & safety precautions only California Residents are able to visit the theme parks. Proof of residency will be required upon arrival.
For those living out of state, we expect Disneyland to reopen to all guests at some point in the near future. Keep following along with us here at MickeyBlog for further news and updates!
Brush Up On Health & Safety Policies: Disneyland has a “Know Before You Go” website that outlines all the steps Disneyland is currently taking to keep guests and cast members safe during your visit.. Over the past weeks we’ve seen policies regarding social distancing, temperature checks and facemasks changes as restrictions across the country start to ease.
When wanting to know about measures you’ll need to take during your visit you can visit the page here.
Make Sure You’ve Downloaded the Disneyland App – As Disney parks move toward a more contactless guest experience you’ll definitely want to utilize this awesome tool during your visit. The Disneyland App is the dashboard from which you’ll manage many aspects of your Disney visit.
You can use the app as your theme park ticket, to order meals, to purchase PhotoPass plush package, to check wait times on your favorite attractions, to join the virtual queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and so much more. The Disneyland App is available for both Android and Apple.
Be On the Lookout For Your Favorite Characters – Though traditional meet and greets are on hiatus, guests will still have an opportunity to interact with Mickey and the gang! Be on the lookout for socially distanced selfies during your visit. You never know which Disney character may be just around the corner.
Bring those Water Bottles – Disneyland has refillable water bottle stations throughout both parks! So bring your favorite water bottles to the parks and save money on beverages! And speaking of items to bring to the parks, also pack some hand sanitizer and sunscreen!
