Andor: Another New Set Pic for the Disney+ Show
More locations for Disney Plus’ Star Wars: Andor….
If there is one thing that satisfies, it’s smallish UK newspapers that post pics from Star Wars sets.
This time around, EssexLive (nee Essex Chronicle) has the pics from in and around the set in Corringham.
Filming for a brand new Star Wars series has begun in an abandoned Essex oil refinery.
Shooting for the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars series, Andor, has been taking place right here in Essex at Coryton Refinery – an abandoned oil refinery situated in Corringham, Essex.
Andor is a US television drama series that serves as a prequel to the 2016 Star Wars film ‘Rogue One.’

More Coverage…

[A] source with close ties to the location informed SWS that they had spotted what seemed to be a “ship” on the back of a vehicle covered in tarpaulin in the early hours of the morning. Based on the description we were given, this would seem to indicate a landspeeder (more akin to the models in the opening chase scenes in Solo) than a ship. This particular source had no prior knowledge that a Star Wars project was being shot in Coryton.
The general vibe and aesthetic of Coryton Refinery are entirely industrial, so could we be heading back to Corellia now that Fawley Power Station has been demolished? Maybe the grittier side of Coruscant? Or could we be heading to a new location entirely?
Return to Corellia
Giving us a bit more of an idea of what this all looks like, Star Wars Sessions pointed to the below photo of the refinery from google.
And, in case you don’t remember what Corellia looked like in Solo: A Star Wars Story, check out the below:
