“Disnenchanted” Star Dempsey Visits Dalkey Island
As filming for “Disenchanted” continues in Ireland, the film’s leading male Patrick Dempsey journeyed to storybook Dalkey Island over the weekend.
Clearly enjoying his time in the country, Dempsey often shares images of his post-filming adventures on his Instagram account. His visit to the magestic emerald getaway proved no different.
In an Instagram story post, the actor shared photographs of not only the rugged countryside but also local historical sites and the native goats that often delight guests.
Dempsey also posted even as recently as yesterday about the beautiful landscapes that surround him.

The village of Enniskerry in County Winslow transformed last month into a truly enchated town fit for a Disney princess like Amy Adams’s Giselle. The long-awaited sequel to Disney’s “Enchanted,” “Disenchanted” began filming there a few weeks ago.
Local residents flocked to the village before filming began to check out all of the local building’s magical makeovers. Though many remained open during the transformation, now local law enforcement asks people to avoid the main area of town due to closures for filming.
“The filming by Disney of Disenchanted is attracting large numbers of people to the village, particularly at weekends. Sheer numbers and illegal parking has caused issues for emergency services and has restricted persons with mobility issues from freely accessing the area,” Gardai told residents according to an article in Dublin Live.
Filming continues this month in Enniskerrry with much of the cast and crew located there. Made especially for Disney+, “Disenchanted” picks up the story of Giselle and her trusty prince, Robert, 15 years after their previous adventures together. The film should release sometime in 2022.
