Downtown Disney Restaurants Reopening After Changes To California Social Distancing Policies
We’ve got some exciting news for visitors to Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California. Many restaurants at Disneyland’s downtown shopping and dining district have been closed as a result of the state of California’s stay at home order. Now that it has been lifted, Disneyland has already started recalling hundreds of workers to ready Disney California Adventure eateries for a reopening!
Ballast Point Brewing Company, Tortilla Jo’s, Naples Ristorante and Uva Bar & Cafe will reopen on Saturday, January 30th. We’re also being told that Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen with return on Monday, February 1st. Reservations for each of these eateries are recommended and can be made at disneyland.com.
Disneyland fans are still waiting for news that the theme parks are going to reopen but with current figures regarding the virus, the parks are unlikely to return to full operation until the Summer.

For those following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that Buena Vista Street was only reopened for less than three weeks when the lockdown in the state of California meant that they needed to reclose. Several popular eateries like Catal and La Brea Bakery have yet to announce their reopening dates.
As the OC Register points out, some Downtown Disney eateries including Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes, Earl of Sandwich, Jamba, Salt & Straw and Wetzel’s Pretzels have already been open on a a takeaway basis.
We’re please to announce that Disney California Adventure has recalled more than 200 employees to reopen Carthay Circle, Award Wieners and Smokejumpers Grill. Reopening dates for these restaurants have not been announced as of yet. Reports also started to come in today that vending carts at Disney California Adventure were selling ice cream, cotton candy, soft drinks and other food and beverage items.
The OC Register is also reporting that the outdoor tables and seating that needed to be removed due to the lockdown have begun to return to Buena Vista Street. Additional updates on Downtown Disney and Buena Vista Street restaurant reopenings are expected soon.
