BREAKING NEWS: Tickets Now On Sale For Cirque Du Soleil’s “Drawn To Life” at Disney Springs
Yesterday we shared the news that Cirque du Soleil was filing for Chapter 15 bankruptcy. This made many of us Disney insiders worried about the future of the highly anticipated collaboration between Disney and Cirque du Soleil “Drawn to Life” which was slated to open up at Disney Springs this past spring.
However, today, we here at MickeyBlog are delighted to share the news that the Montreal-based company has just put tickets on sale for “Drawn to Life” starting in November.
Here’s a look at the screenshot from the “Drawn to Life” website:
As you can see from the image above, tickets are onsale for the production beginning November 5th with guests having the option to book in November or December ONLY. No word yet on when additional dates will be added.
The prices for the tickets start at $79 and go up to $179 depending on location. Here’s a quick look at the price points for the performance on November 17th. (It should be noted that location pricing may change.)
We went through the process of purchasing tickets just prior to writing this article and we were able to successfully make a reservation for November 5th. See below:
What Is “Drawn To Life?”
Drawn to Life can best be described as an acrobatic journey. It tells the story of Julie a girl who discovers an unexpected gift from her father who is a Disney Animator – an unfinished animation. This is the catalyst for Julies inspiring quest guided by a surprising pencil and filled with childhood Disney memories!
The story is driven by 10 incredible acrobatic acts. This includes a Rhythmic Gymnastics group and an aerial pole routine (which you can see in the video below) as well as brand-new animation created by Disney Artists and led by Eric Goldberg who is best known for bringing the Genie from the animated Aladdin to life!
“Our show uses new technologies and art forms to portray the innate physicality of animation,” says Michel Laprise, Show Writer & Director. “During a number of the acts, classic Disney animation sequences come alive via contemporary projections, complementing the spectacular feats of our acrobats.
