Your Guide to Meeting Santa at Walt Disney World
For those heading to Walt Disney World this holiday season, a question you’ll want to know is where you can go to mee that famous man in red! Luckily there is no shortage of opportunities to let Santa know whether you’ve been naughty or nice! So be sure to bring along those Christmas lists and cameras and head to one of these awesome locations:
Magic Kingdom
For those heading to Magic Kingdom, you’ll find a special area set up for Santa between the Town Hall and the Fire Department near the Hub. Kids and adults alike definitely won’t want to miss this opportunity to cozy up with Santa with a PhotoPass photographer there to capture the magic!
In the lead-in to Christmas visitors can usually find Santa on hand to meet guests during the day (typically between 10 am – 5 pm.) He’s also usually available to meet with visitors during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party except during the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade when he makes an appearance atop his shiny sleigh!
Hollywood Studios
During the Holiday Season at Hollywood Studios, you’ll find Santa on hand to meet guests as part of the awesome Sunset Seasons Greeting festivities taking part on Sunset Boulevard. In year’s past, Santa has set up shop at Once Upon a Time at Sunset Boulevard to meet guests and pose for photos! I’ve found historically that the line tends not to be as long here as some of the other theme park locations! Last year he was available from November 8 – December 24th with Santa Goofy stepping while he went off to deliver presents!
Disney Springs
Experience the ultimate ho-ho-holiday encounter when you meet—and snap pics with—the jolly old elf himself. Santa is now officially in residence at his charming chalet near the Christmas Tree Trail at the Disney Springs Marketplace (across from once upon a toy.) However, a word to wise, lines to meet Santa can get long, and I mean 250+ minutes long. Disney has implemented a system allowing you to shop or dine, while waiting for your turn.
Here’s how:
- Check-in at the podium
- Give your mobile phone number to one of Santa’s helpers
- Shop, eat and enjoy the hustle ‘n’ bustle of the Marketplace
- Upon receiving a text message from Santa’s helpers, return to the podium within 10 minutes
- Take your place in line to meet Santa!
For those with a MemoryMaker package, a PhotoPass photographer will be there to capture the magic! You’ll find Santa available now through December 24, 2019. His visiting hours are from 11:00 am – 11:00 pm daily!
Epcot
You can meet Santa at any of the locations mentioned above but Epcot is one of the only places that you can meet Mrs. Claus as well! The two make an appearance each year at the American Pavilion as part of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays which will begin on November 24th. They’ll be on hand in their World Showcase location to meet guests, pose for photos and find out what you’d like for Christmas! Historically they’re on hand from about 1:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
Breakfast With Santa – TREX – Disney Springs
Though not technically a Meet and Greet, TREX will once again be hosting their wildly popular Breakfast With Santa. Running on select days November – December it includes a delicious breakfast buffet, early-bird shopping at the Disney Store and the T-REX Dino Store and the chance to meet Mr and Mrs Claus!
