The Grand Floridian Gingerbread House is Complete, Grand Opening This Week!
I am happy to report the iconic Grand Floridian Gingerbread House is now complete! The house will officially open to sell yummy snacks and sweets on Wednesday, November 13.
We stopped by the Grand Floridian today to get our first look of the completed Gingerbread House and it doesn’t disappoint! Check out the completed product below:

Ever wonder what it takes to bring the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House life? In addition to dozens of Cast Members working around the clock to bring it to life, here is a list of the ingredients that are involved:
- 1050 Pounds of Honey
- 140 Pints of Egg Whites
- 600 Pounds of Powdered Sugar
- 700 Pounds of Sugar
- 800 Pounds of Flour
- 35 Pounds of Spices
- Tons of Creativity
- Disney Magic and Pixie Dust!
The Grand Floridian Gingerbread House is just one of several gingerbread creations that can be found at the various Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. Some of my other favorites include the Gingerbread Merry-Go-Round at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and the Frozen Gingerbread display at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
