Get a First Look At Dinner at Steakhouse 71
Good Evening Disney friends! MickeyBlog is still out and about on 50th Anniversary Eve where we are having first-time-ever experience. We’re at the all new Steakhouse 71 for dinner!
For those unfamiliar, this is the brand new steakhouse at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The eatery takes the place of Wave…of American flavors which closed earlier this year.
Steakhouse 71 takes it’s name after the year that Walt Disney World first opened in 1971!
The team that welcomed us was awesome!
Both the restaurant and the lounge areas have a real 1970s feel to them which is perfectly in keeping with the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic of the Contemporary.
The dining room features both table and booth seating!
It’s a very comfy, relaxingly lit space perfect for an evening meal at the end of a long theme park day!
The interior decorating in this space is pretty awesome just look at this booth area.
We love the contrast between the busy carpet and murals contrasted with the blue velvet chairs.
The mural along the back of the dining room provides a big splash of color!
Below you can see the table set for our arrival!
Here’s a look at the menu that we’ll be sampling form this evening.
As you can see there’s a three-course menu and a wide selection of cocktails, beers and wines for us to choose from.
As a beverage we tried the Sherbet Punch. It came with Orange Sherbet, Sprite and House-Made Grenadine!
We also had a chance to sample the Raspberry Gin Sour. It was made with Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Lemon, Raspberry and Sage syrup.
Below is a look at the Baby Iceberg Wedge Salad with House-made Blue Cheese Dressing, Toy Box Tomatoes, Pickled Red Onions, Bacon, Hard-cooked Egg.
Below is also a first look at the Crab Cakes. They’re made with Old Bay Remoulade, Corn Hash and House Made Saltine Crackers!
Below is a look at their gluten free bacon and eggs option. Definitely the fanciest we’ve ever had!
We also got a side of onion rings which were absolutely delightful.
For the main course on of our MickeyBloggers is a vegetarian so tried the beef Wellington which isn’t on the menu but can be ordered if you let your server know!
Then below is the Filet Mignon with grilled asparagus and au gratin potatoes in a red wine sauce.
Next it’s time for dessert!
The ending to this meal was so fantastic that we took several photos to share with you.
This is the Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake!
It features layers of Jack Daniel’s infused chocolate cake.
The middle layer is chocolate mousse!
It also comes with raspberries which bring the 0perfect tart contrast!
Before we leave, we want to show you that Steakhouse 71 has a really cozy lounge area for those wanting to come in for a cocktail and a lite bit or two. The area features a long bar with some lounge seating to the side.
Television screens are available at the bar for those interesting in catching the big game!
Here you can see the lounge which features glass windows looking into the main dining room!
Reservations are now open for Steakhouse 71 and our strongly encouraged. they can be made using the My Disney Experience app!
