See Disney World Cast Members Ride Splash Mountain for the LAST Time
Splash Mountain has officially closed in Magic Kingdom, with a huge transformation for the classic Disney ride in the works.
During the last day Splash Mountain was open in Magic Kingdom, we saw huge crowds turn out for one last ride, and a special group of people got to take some of the very last trips down the mountain!
Cast Members Ride Splash Mountain
Thanks to a video shared by ThrillGeek, you can watch Cast Members take some of the final rides on Splash Mountain on January 22nd, the last day the ride was open in Magic Kingdom with its original theme.
Crowds on the nearby bridge cheered and waved as Cast Members rolled by in log flumes. You can watch the fun below!
Splash Mountain will be reimagined as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which will take guests through the Louisiana bayou with a new The Princess and the Frog theme. The redesigned ride will open in 2024 in Disney World and Disneyland Park.
We’ve already seen Splash Mountain signs removed from Magic Kingdom, the new ride logo on the Magic Kingdom map, and if you try to click on the previous Disney World link to Splash Mountain (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/magic-kingdom/splash-mountain/), you’re redirected to a general attraction page.
It’s the end of an era! Stay tuned to MickeyBlog for more Disney World news and updates!
