How Long Would You Wait to Ride Splash Mountain for the LAST Time?
Today is the LAST day to ride Splash Mountain in its original form in Disney World — and the crowds are no joke.

Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom
We’ve already shown you some of the early morning crowds we encountered, but exactly how long is Splash Mountain’s wait time?? Let’s dive in!
Splash Mountain Crowds
Splash Mountain will officially close in Magic Kingdom on January 23rd, 2023 to be re-themed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure with a brand new The Princess and the Frog backstory. Crowds gathered very early on January 22nd to have one last chance to ride Splash in its original form.

In order to accommodate the high crowds and the longer-than-usual Splash Mountain queue, the bridge to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was roped off.

Within another few hours, the wait time increased to 200 minutes! That’s over THREE hours, folks.

200 minutes!
In the My Disney Experience app, however, the wait time showed 180 minutes, so your mileage may vary if you’re in line.

Even the Splash Mountain Lightning Lane was fairly long.

Lightning Lane
Splash Mountain is available via Lightning Lane if you purchase Genie+, which costs $18 per person today, but it might not be easy to find an open time slot.
As of approximately 2PM, all Splash Mountain Lightning Lane time slots had been reserved. Still, you can keep refreshing the My Disney Experience app in case any Lightning Lanes become available again!
