New Movable Baby Yoda Hat Hits Emporium Shelves
As if the Baby Yoda merchandise could not get any cuter, the new Baby Yoda hat spotted this morning at the Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. even has movable ears.
The new plush hat features Grogu’s signature wide and inquisitive eyes. Those darling long ears bring an all-new personality to this out-of-this-world lid: They can move up and down!
Simply push on fabric surrounding Baby Yoda’s hands, and Baby Yoda can raise his ears in his characteristic “say what” move.
The cozy lining offers a little bit of warmth while the lightweight fleecy fabric provides the ultimate cheery Child style.
At $34.99 plus tax, these hats are a total steal in interactive merchandise. We have only spotted them at The Emporium so far. We will keep searching for this darling find in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios and on shopDisney.com.
Wondering what the back looks like? The cool turquiose and rustic brown color palletes continues throughout the hat as well.
Other Baby Yoda Merchandise
Baby Yoda merchandise continues to be incredibly popular at the parks. New ears and plush toys were released recently, including popular favorite brands like Loungefly.
A Little Baby Yoda History
Baby Yoda made his first appearance in the first episode of “The Mandalorian” on Disney+ in November 2019. In searching for the surprise bounty target, The Mandalorian discovered The Child after he was hired by the Empire to capture him. Surprisingly, The Child turned out to be no child though. His species just ages slowly. In fact, he was 50 years old.
Over time, the Mandalorian experienced a change of heart and rescued the Child. This sets the stage for the events of the show. At the end of the second season, Luke Skywalker shocked viewers, rescuing Baby Yoda and the Mandalorian from Dark Troopers sent by the Empire.
Near the end of The Mandalorian’s second season, Ahsoka Tano reveals Baby Yoda’s real name, Grogu. His past as a trainee for the Jedi Order came to light as well when Ahsoka was able to communicate with the otherwise-mute Grogu.
Mark your calendars! Baby Yoda and The Mandalorian are set to return for Season 3 on Disney+ this December!
