Disney Unveils First Look at the Entertainment in Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
In just a few weeks, the first Disney Cruise Line guests will set foot on the shores of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Located on the beautiful island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas, the new Cruise Line port is expected to open in June of this year!
In anticipation of the new port opening, Disney is giving fans a sneak peek at some of the recreation and entertainment that is waiting for them at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Let’s see what awaits guests at the new destination!
Junkanoo Rush Out
Guests visiting Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point will be swept up in the island’s Junkanoo celebration.
For those who don’t know, Junkanoo is the signature festival of the Bahamas and will also inspire the Disney character costumes and merchandise sold at Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
When visiting the island, guests will get the opportunity to participate in an authentic Junkanoo Rush Out as performers parade to the Goombay Cultural Center. There, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy will dance along and invite guests to join the vibrant celebration.
Fun in the Sun
Debuting at the new port’s Play-Play Pavilion, the Disney Fun in the Sun Beach Bash will invite guests to keep the good times rolling.
Here, Goofy’s Good Day Limbo will test how low guests can go, while Pluto’s Pineapple Ring Toss will test their accuracy.
At Chip-n-Dale’s Water Brigade, guests can cool off as the sound of all-new Bahamian renditions of Disney music plays!
Disney is promising that these fans will delight the whole family! Sounds great to me.
Check Back Soon
Between the entertainment, recreation, and character interactions, Disney Lookout Cay sounds like it will be a blend of Disney magic and Bahamian culture. With just weeks to go until the new destination opens, I can’t wait to see what else Disney has cooked up!
