Russo Brothers: Avengers Directors Take Questions On Twitter
With Avengers: Endgame now on digital and coming soon to Blu-ray and amid their “#WeLoveYou3000 tour,” Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo – The Russo Brothers, took to Twitter (Periscope) to answer questions.
“So apparently these are the people on Twitter who don’t hate us,” joked Director Joe Russo to star the Q&A; looking out at a clapping crowd.

During the Q&A, the brothers were asked about their online interaction with the fans; how that back and forth contributed to the decision to go on tour.
“We’ve always been very good about going online and listening to what people are saying,” Joe explained. “And sometimes [they] can inspire ideas in us.”
Thank You, Fans
But there was more to the tour. The filmmakers wanted to recognize a special moment in film.
“We’re traveling around to several cities,” explained Anthony Russo about the brothers’ current tour. “There are also some cast members who are traveling around to several cities; just to hold special events for fans – fan appreciation events.
“There was such a strong response to this movie.
“It was just all of us wanting to take a moment to say ‘Thank you’ to fans,” he said.
Star Wars And Inspiration
Meanwhile, it was clear that the directors remember being fans, too.
“When we were kids, we were inspired, watching Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back, to tell stories on a massive scale like this,” said Joe. “So this is, essentially, us paying it forward; hoping that some 10, 11, or 12-year-old sees our films and is inspired to tell their own stories.”
Fun stuff, for sure. Be sure to watch the entire interview.
