New Bruce Springsteen Documentary ‘Road Diary’ Is Coming to Disney+ and Hulu
Disney+ has quietly become the best streaming service for music fans, as the streamer has continued to lean into music documentaries and concert films.
This month alone, a Beach Boys documentary, Queen concert, and The Beatles’ Let It Be documentary have all arrived on the streaming service.

During Disney’s upfront presentation yesterday, the streamer announced that Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, a new documentary chronicling Springsteen as he prepped for his 2023-2024 World Tour, will premiere on Hulu and Disney+ in October.
The Documentary Will Follow Springsteen and the E Street Band
The documentary is directed by longtime Springsteen collaborator Thom Zimny and will give fans a unique look at Springsteen’s creative process.

Road Diary will begin with the band’s early rehearsals in Red Bank, New Jersey, and follow them as they tour the country.
The documentary will feature testimonials from Springsteen himself, footage of band rehearsal, backstage moments, and fly-on-the-wall footage.

“These conversations follow Springsteen closely as he develops the story he wants to tell with this tour’s setlist — interspersed with rare archival clips of The E Street Band, underscoring themes of life, loss, mortality, and community,” the documentary’s synopsis reads.
Coming to Disney+ and Hulu
Springsteen and Zimny previously collaborated on Western Stars. Road Diary will be produced by Zimny, Jon Landau, Springsteen, Adrienne Gerard, and Sean Stuart.
