‘The Book of Boba Fett’ Star Ming-Na Wen Is Still Hoping For a Season 2
While The Book of Boba Fett failed to meet the lofty expectations set by The Mandalorian, the show managed to tell a compelling story about one of Star Wars’ most famous characters.
Starring Temuera Morrison in the titular role and Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand, The Book of Boba Fett picked up with the legendary bounty hunter after he was cast into a Sarlacc pit in A New Hope.
Fleshing out the world of the New Republic, Boba Fett began as a character study before devolving into something that approached The Mandalorian season 2.5.
Despite its flaws, the series managed to cultivate a strong fan base and proved to be a rating success. Still, three years after the series’ first season ended, there has been no announcement of a second season.
Ming-Na Win Is Holding Out Hope For a Season 2
In a recent appearance on The Mandalorian star Kate Sackhoff’s podcast, The Sackoff Show (via Mandoverse Updates on X), The Book of Boba Fett star Ming-Na Wen stated that she would love to see the show return for a second season.
“So do I,” Wen said in response to fans’ desire for a second season. “I think the fans, Tem [Morrison], and I should all do The Book Of Boba Fett season 2. I think there’s a lot more stories to be told, and it hasn’t really quite finished and evolved, and there’s more. So hopefully.”
Like Wen, Morrison has also been very public about his desire to see a second season of Boba Fett. Still, after three years of silence, it doesn’t sound like Lucasfilm is dying to make a second season.
Even if a Book of Boba Fett season 2 is not in the cards, with the Mandalorian heading to the big screen and Dave Filoni developing a movie that will bring the heroes of the New Republic together for his own film, we likely haven’t seen the last of the Boba Fett or Fennec Shand.
