Kona Cafe At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Will Open on November 1st
We’ve got some exciting news regarding a beloved Deluxe Resort eatery. Disney announced today that Kona Café, a casual, table service spot at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be reopening on November 1st. Best of all, reservations are NOW open for those visiting on or after November 1st.
Below is a look at the updated information as it now appears on the Walt Disney World website.
The Kona Café has been undergoing a lengthy refurbishment at the Polynesian and according to the announcement above, when it reopens, the eatery will feature an “enhanced table-service experience.”
Previously Kona Café had been open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highlights included the Tonga Toast, macadamia-pineapple pancakes, Dashi Noodle bowl and sushi! It sounds like, from the announcement above that chef’s will be rethinking the menu and restaurant concept. As of going to print, it does not look like the menu has been updated as of yet.
Those staying at the Polynesian Village Resort before the new Kona Café reopens should note that the Kona Island kiosk is still open. You can pop over to the Island to pick up coffee and pastries in the morning and grab-and-go items like sushi later in the day. You’ll also find sweet treats including key lime pie and banana-rum trifle.
