Signage Added to New Covered Patio in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
After months of speculation, the mystery structure in Disney’s Animal Kingdom was finally unveiled late last month. The brand-new covered patio offers guests a shady spot to rest their feet and grab a bite from nearby eateries like Tamu Tamu Refreshments.
This week, new signage has appeared as the building receives its final touches!
With charming bistro lights, beautiful foliage, and ample shade, the new patio is a welcome addition to the Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The seating area is located right across from Harambe Market near Tamu Tamu Refreshments.
On a recent visit to Disney’s wildest park, MickeyBlog reporters spotted the new signage throughout the patio.
Let’s check it out!
Mind Your Manners
Disney’s Animal Kingdom may be full of wild animals, but even human guests sometimes need to be reminded of their manners!
The new signage includes a playful reminder to clean up after ourselves. A sign near the trash cans reads, “Baboons are not to be Fed! Dispose of Trash and Uneaten Food Items!”
Meanwhile, a colorful sign encourages guests to “Practise Respect for Nature.”
Finally, a welcome sign posted outside the seating area serves as a gentle reminder to “mind your manners.”
Signage Adds Ambiance At Animal Kingdom’s New Covered Patio
Not all of the new signage is centered around dining etiquette! Guests will also notice directional signs, like this one that points the way to Tamu Tamu Refreshments.
However, much of the new signage is thematic in nature.
Disney theme parks are well known for their painstaking attention to detail, and signs like these provide the area with an extra dose of atmosphere and a palpable sense of realism.
This Cicero Art School sign advertises technical training and instruction for art trades.
Meanwhile, these beautifully engraved signs bid guests “Karibuni,” which translates to “Welcome” in Swahili…
…and of course, “Kwaherini,” which translates to “Farewell.”
Next time you find yourself in the Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, stop by for a meal under the park’s charming new covered patio — just be sure to mind your P’s and Q’s!
