Disney Releases Clip of Showstopping “This Wish” From ‘Wish’
While today is officially Disney’s 100th anniversary, the Disney100 celebration is set to continue, even after the big date.
In many ways, the festivities will culminate in the release of the studio’s latest animated film, Wish.
A Classic Disney Story
Taking inspiration from the timeless stories that Disney has told over the last 100 years, Wish will introduce audiences to the Kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a young girl, senses the darkness that no one else does. While King Magnifico is beloved by his people, Asha discovers something dark in the royal.
In need of a miracle, the heroine passionately pleads to the stars in her moment of need. In response to her prayers, an actual celestial body named Star answers Asha’s wish.
Together, Asha and Star set off to save the kingdom and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the star, anything can happen.
Listen To “This Wish”
While we are still over a month away until Wish officially debuts in theaters, Disney is ramping up the excitement by releasing a clip of the upcoming film’s showstopping son, “This Wish.”
The new song captures the moment where Asha fervently pleads to the stars for help and her wish is answered.
Performed by Ariana DeBose, “This Wish” is being set up to be the next great Disney song!
