Inspirational Construction Signage by PPG Paints Now Featured at EPCOT
Good morning World Travelers, and greetings from EPCOT!
If you’ve been following along with EPCOT updates over the past, well, few years, you’ll no doubt be aware of how construction is constantly re-shaping and re-evolving the parks experience. Even just looking at how guests move through the park, we’ve seen so many walkways opening, closing, and re-routing in all different directions in recent months.
Sure, it gets tiring. But you know what makes it better for us? The thought of “tomorrow,” and our excitement for the future of the park!
Hm. That notion not quite enough for you? Don’t worry!
While visiting EPCOT this week, our reporters noticed that a certain Disney partner has been making efforts to beautify the vast bleakness of construction walls, by adding fun new signage to inspire and entertain guests as they pass by.
PPG Paints, of PG Industries Inc., is the sponsoring company behind the signage, and you’ll see their logos displayed on each one.
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you may have already seen similar signs crop up in Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Now, we’re really excited to see even more arrive at EPCOT. So, without further ado, let’s go check out these signs!
Inspiration from Motunui
The first couple of signs we found feature wisdom from Moana, which perfectly fits into EPCOT thanks to the Journey of Water attraction in World Nature.
The first is a Maui quote, reading “It’s called wayfinding, princess… Knowing where you are by knowing where you’ve been.” You can even see Maui’s hook depicted above the quote!
Next is another beautiful quote, complete with a Heart of Te Fiti icon. It reads “Sometimes our strengths lie beneath the surface.”
A Nod to Attractions
The next two signs feature recognizable quotes from classic EPCOT attractions, with the first simply reading “Nice work, pal.”

The next poster features a quote from Spaceship Earth, reading “Let’s have some fun creating the future, shall we?”
It’s hard not to read this in Dame Judi Dench’s voice, right?
Classic EPCOT
The final quote features the most beautiful EPCOT quote, and it comes straight from Walt Disney himself.
It reads: “So that’s what E.P.C.O.T is… an experimental prototype community that will always be in a state of becoming.”
How beautiful, and how inspiring to see Walt’s vision in action!
