PHOTOS: PPG Paints Sponsors Motivational Signs Across Disney World
By this point, we’re all too familiar with the sight of construction walls at Walt Disney World.
No matter how subtle or unobtrusive they may be, the fact of the matter is that the constant evolution of the parks means there’s always going to be work happening somewhere — and it’s necessary to keep guests out!
But, that doesn’t mean that Disney hasn’t been having fun with the walls!
On our recent visits around the parks, our MickeyBlog reporters have been spying a new series of fun signage placed on the partitions, offering some cute quotes and wisdom from our Disney favorites. We found it so motivational, we thought we’d best share some of the signs with you — so keep reading and let’s check them out!
Our first few examples were found over in the Magic Kingdom, where signs from PPG Paints had been added to a string of ongoing construction and refurbishment sites across the park. Let’s begin at Liberty Square!
Columbia Harbour House
Now found on a variety of construction walls around Disney World are these motivational signs sponsored by PPG Paints.
In case you didn’t know, PPG Paints is owned by Fortune 500 company PG Industries, Inc. They supply paints, materials, and more globally.
Over here at Columbia Harbour House, ongoing refurbishment has led to a slew of scaffolding in the area between Liberty Square and Fantasyland. However, you’ll see these sweet Walt Disney quotes have been added to the walls to bring a smile to guests!
The first reads “Laughter is America’s most important export,” while the second quote is “Tomorrow will be better for as long as America keeps alive the ideals of freedom and a better life.”
How lovely!
Moving around slightly towards Fantasyland, more signage can be spotted near the Peter Pan attraction. Of course, it’s perfectly themed to suit the land!
This blue sign reads “All it takes is faith and trust. Oh! And something I forgot. Dust!”
Adventureland
Another construction spot we passed is over by the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, where new signage perfectly matches the tropical calls of Adventureland.
These signs show some classic Pirates quotes, including “Hoist the colors!”…
… and “Not all treasure’s silver and gold, mate.”
Wise words from Jack Sparrow, right there!
Frontierland
Finally in the Magic Kingdom, we’ve reached one of the most exciting construction sites — Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. We’ve been admiring these themed construction walls for a while now, and were excited to see even more additions added this week!
So, what do these cute, themed new signs say?
“That old star can only take you part of the way. You got to help it along with some hard work of your own.”
“The only way to get what you want in this world is through hard work”.
So lovely!
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you may know that the Magic Kingdom isn’t the only park that has benefitted from some snazzy new motivational signage recently.
Animal Kingdom
Earlier in the month, we wrote about this new work over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where some jungle-inspired motivation had appeared near the park’s entrance…
You can read more about these signs in our post here! These posters are also sponsored by PPG Paints.
We also found more new signs in Animal Kingdom today, like this one featuring Kevin from Up, presumably saying, “Squaawk!”
And this one says “Change is good.”
What do you think of these fun and motivational new signs on the construction walls across Walt Disney World? We sure appreciate the small touch, and hope to see many more beautiful quotes shown in the future!
