Construction Walls Pop Up at Entrance to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Jambo friends, and welcome to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
It’s a beautifully bright Saturday here in the park, although it appears something is amiss right at the park’s entrance. Keep reading to find out all about the latest rumble in the jungle, and how it might affect your next park visit!
Construction Walls
Picture this: you’ve just hopped off the resort bus outside of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Your ears are on, you’ve got a bag full of snacks to see you through the hour long queue for Flight of Passage, and you’ve got your fingers crossed in the hopes to spot that adorable baby elephant over on the safari.
What’s the one thing you’re not hoping to see when you walk into the park?
Construction walls!
Ok, no, we’d also hope not to run into an escaped gorilla or anything either. But construction walls are kind of not the vibe we’re hoping for right at the entrance to the park… right?
Well folks, unfortunately it looks like guests visiting the park this weekend will, in fact, be welcomed at the entrance by this newly-erected section of wall.
It’s there, right opposite the bus terminals, next to the entranceway Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. stand.
But, don’t worry. Joffrey’s is still open and brewing as usual!
We can’t be without our morning cold brew to see us on a day of exploring, can we?
Now, while we’re not sure of what these walls are covering (or, from a slightly more sinister point of view, what they’re containing,) we can say that they seem rather unassuming to the casual passer-by.
They’re colored in that familiar go-away green that honestly blends in with the lush foliage of the park well, and they’re also decorated with a series of philosophic quotes sure to make people go “hmm” while waiting in-line for Joffreys.
Don’t believe me? Well, you’ve got this Rafiki-inspired quote, of “Look Beyond What You See”…
… and this bright, Bagheera-inspired one of “Things Will Look Better in the Morning”.
In the past, this blocked-off space has been known to house everything from pop-up merchandise kiosks to temporary photo spots, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on the area over the coming weeks to see what the construction walls have been hiding, if anything.
