Adorable Baby Elephant Makes Her Debut at Animal Kingdom!
One of my absolute favorite parts of going to Disney World is seeing all of the animals over at Animal Kingdom and EPCOT. It truly has some creatures that you might not get to see anywhere else!
Disney is dedicated to animal conservation, including trying to conserve and promote the populations of certain animal species. So, it was very exciting when a baby elephant was born at Animal Kingdom a couple of months ago!
She was named Corra and has been kept behind the scenes…until now!
Baby Elephant on the Savanna
Corra has been hanging out with her mom Nadirah in the backstage areas, but she made her debut on the Savanna today! She is officially out in the areas that you might see on Kilimanjaro Safaris.
We hopped on the safari to try and catch a glimpse of the little one, and we were lucky enough to spot her!
It was a bit difficult, but we were able to see her. She likes to stay close to mom, which is completely understandable since she’s only 2 months old!
This is the first elephant born at the park in 7 years. And, to make things even more special, Corra’s mom Nadirah was also born at Animal Kingdom back in 2005!
Make sure to keep an eye out for Corra on your next safari ride! Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates.
